The Cameron Foundation recognizes local nonprofits for exceptional achievement with up to $90,000 in special awards each year.

Recognition Awards

Along with its grant opportunities, The Cameron Foundation also offers up to four annual recognition awards through two programs, disbursing up to $90,000 a year to selected nonprofits.

The Cleveland A. Wright Award for Outstanding Community Service is awarded to an organization that has demonstrated a commitment to caring and generosity of spirit, as well as openness and accessibility. This award was named in honor of The Cameron Foundation’s first president (and current board member) for his exemplary and untiring commitment to the Foundation’s mission. Learn more

The Handy L. Lindsey, Jr. Award for Excellence in Organizational Management recognizes nonprofit organizations that demonstrate excellence in overall organizational management. This award also includes provision for up to two honorable mentions. Note: As part of The Cameron Foundation’s capacity-building program, this award program is currently being redesigned. It is expected to be reintroduced after the redesign has been completed. Learn more
