The Honorable Pamela S. Baskervill served as a judge on the Circuit Court bench of the 11th Judicial Circuit from 2001-2014, retiring as the Chief Judge in 2014. Prior to her role as a member of the judiciary, she practiced law for 23 years at the law firms of White, Hamilton, Wyche and Shell and later, Shell, Johnson, Andrews, Baskervill & Baskervill, P.C.

She was one of the first women in Virginia to be inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only fellowship of trial lawyers from the United States and Canada who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality.

Over the course of her robust career, Ms. Baskervill served on numerous committees and commissions, including several in leadership positions. She has lectured on a variety of topics, including bench bar relationships, professionalism, trial practice and procedure, and docket management, particularly for complex litigation.

Ms. Baskervill grew up in Petersburg. She and her husband currently live in Dinwiddie County and are the proud parents of two daughters.
