Cameron Foundation welcomes the Honorable Pamela S. Baskervill to its board, announces 2025 officers
Ushering in 2025, The Cameron Foundation announces the addition of the Honorable Pamela S. Baskervill (ret.) to its Board of Directors as well as its new slate of officers for the year.
Baskervill, a retired judge from the 11th Judicial Circuit court, is a Dinwiddie County resident who grew up in Petersburg. After completing high school, she went on to graduate summa cum laude from Mary Baldwin College then received her juris doctor degree from T.C. Williams Law School with honors. After practicing law for 23 years, she was appointed to the bench. Judge Baskervill served on numerous committees and commissions, including several in leadership positions such as Chair of the Virginia State Bar Association’s Judicial Section.
“Through both her professional and community service work, Ms. Baskervill has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to Cameron’s service area,” noted Board Chair Vandy V. Jones, III. “We are grateful to her for agreeing to serve alongside our other dedicated board members who share that same deep devotion to the Tri-Cities region,” he added. Baskervill fills the seat previously held by retiring board member and Immediate Past Chair J. Tolleison Morriss, VI.
In addition to Jones serving as board chair, Cameron’s remaining 2025 officers include: Vice Chair Jeffrey W. Geisz; Secretary Brenda D. Mitchell, MSN, RN, APHN-ret.; and, Treasurer Mark H. Stevens. Other members of The Cameron Foundation’s Board of Directors include T. Robertson Blount, Jr.; Chequila H. Fields; Dr. Alton Hart, Jr.; and, Alice Squires Martin. Additionally, Martha A. Burton remains an at-large member of the Grants Committee and William Jeter serves at large on the Foundation’s Investment Committee.
